NOVEMBER SPOTLIGHT
Every month at American Legion Post 17, Talladega, we will highlight one of our cherished veterans. This month, our honor goes to the oldest living member of the American Legion in the state of Alabama...and we are grateful to claim him as one of our Post 17 family.
Stay tuned each month as we spotlight these honorable men women for whom our organization exists. We appreciate their sacrifice and commitment to our nation and our post.

Buster has his own plaque on the bar at Post 17 to commemorate his long history as Alabama's oldest living legion member, and to honor his dedication and commitment to not only to the Edward R. Wren Post in Talladega, but to the community as a whole. It is our great privilege to honor Buster Braswell this month.

What's new at Post 17?
We are constantly making improvements to the facility in order to provide the best possible experience for our veterans and our community.
Construction for a new cover over the outdoor grilling area at the post is underway. Much thanks to our Legionnaires, Sons and Riders including Joe Collins, Nelson Bates, Tony Ankesheiln and his grandson Bryson, Greg Cooper, Jimmie Childs, Richard Herbster, Al Kearley, Travis Harris, George Weldon, Vic McCrary and Rickey Cooper. Your hard work is much appreciated!
Much thanks to Rickey Cooper, Lee McElroy and the Sons of the Legion, and all others who came out to help make plumbing repairs!
