Our Sons of the Legion and Auxiliary groups joined forces to present $1,000 donation to the Houston Project as part of our Holiday giving for 2025! The work that Michelle Tumlin and the Houston Project are doing in memory of her son, Houston Tumlin, to support veterans in need is amazing and we were proud to assist them in their mission.
As part of our Holiday giving for 2025, the Sons of the Legion and the Ladies Auxiliary from Post 17 teamed up to adopt 10 veterans from the Colonel Robert L. Howard State Veterans Home's "Adopt a Veteran for Christmas" program. Sam Kearley (Auxiliary), Al Kearley (Sons) and Joe Collins (Post 17 Commander) personally delivered the 10 gift bags on December 8th. We were grateful to help brighten up the holidays for some very special veterans.
