Halloween Costume Party, October 2025
On Veterans Day the Talladega Hall of Heroes welcomed their Class of 2025 inductees into the museum. Post 17's own Jimmie Childs was among those honored to be introduced into the Hall. Many members attended the ceremony to pay tribute to all who bravely wore the uniform on what turned out to be a beautiful fall day.

Post 17 was represented at the annual Wreaths Across America event at both the National Cemetery in Montevallo, AL and the Fort McClellan Military Cemetery in Anniston, AL. It was an honor to remember and pay tribute to all of our military veterans who are no longer with us.
Our 2025 Toys for Tots drive was a huge success which resulted in two full donation boxes, plus heaps of overflow! Thanks to all who participated and helped to bring some Christmas magic to some very special kids this holiday season!
Post Christmas Party 2025
Post 17 was happy to support the Colonel Robert L. Howard State Veterans Home's "Adopt a Veteran for Christmas" program this year. Ten gift bags were delivered by Commander Joe Collins and Sam (Auxiliary) Kearley and Al (Sons) Kearley. A number of members also attended the Christmas celebration at the Home. What a wonderful way to enjoy the holidays with some very special veterans.
Thanks to all who came out to celebrate our first ever "Let's Get Grinched" party! A lot of grinchy fun was had!
New Year's Eve Bash 2025
